Don’t be concerned! We’ve got five simple ways to style your hair and include the scrunchie trend that’s been going viral on Pinterest. To sit at the base, wrap a medium to big <a href="https://simmischoice.com/collections/scrunchies">Hair scrunchies</a> around the top of the bun. Gather your hair to one side and braid it in a medium tight braid approximately 4′′ from the bottom, securing it with a hair tie. To loosen the braid and make it appear broader, slide the <a href="https://simmischoice.com/collections/scrunchies">hair tie</a> down an inch or so and use your fingers to “pancake” it by tugging the parts in opposite directions with your fingers (there are some photographs of this and a link to the plumping powder I like to use for braids in this post). Cover the hair tie with a tiny to medium scrunchie. You can leave pieces out in the front or pin them back into the hair as needed, depending on whether you have bangs or layers.<p> <p><strong>Gather your hair into a medium</strong>-height loose ponytail and fasten with a regular hairband for the Messy Ponytail. Add your medium to <a href="https://simmischoice.com/collections/scrunchies">large scrunchie</a> around the ponytail (to cover the hairband underneath that’s doing all the support work) and put your fingers into the top crown of your head and squeeze parts of your hair looser on top to make a little volume and pull out some wisps of hair around your face for that messy look.
