To change the cursor on mousover, you can use a small snippet css
a.btn >i {cursor:pointer;}

The only thing "off" with this is the fact that the cursor does not change on mouseover (due to the disabled state). You'd probably have to override this with CSS, but it still is a nice little hack to get that flat transparent look.
