If you have it so it separates the "modal" and "modal-dialog" classes in to separate divs and give it the role="dialog" like this:

<div id="login-overlay" class="modal" role="dialog">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<div class="modal-content">
.... stuff ...
</div>
</div>
</div>

rather than as stated in your static source

<div id="login-overlay" class="modal-dialog">
<div class="modal-content">
.... stuff ...
</div>
</div>

Then the modal will actually work as a dialog rather than a "block" type element, other than that, good stuff

I think it should have "col-xs-12 col-md-6" instead "col-xs-6 "

PORQUE NUNCA ENCUENTRO EL CSS

Because the only thing you need is included bootstrap in the HTML code and this source within the body tag!
