<p>Christine has not just taught Angel piano skills, but also most importantly, built up Angel with right attitude to face challenges. We still remember Angel’s first group piano play-through four years ago; she sat in front of the piano like an ice bar, struggling internally to make her first piano sound in front of her audience.
In her piano lessons, Christine was always smiling when telling Angel what had been done well, and then, patiently guide Angel in how to improve in all aspects. From Christine, we learned musical theories, we built up musical sense, and we visualized how positive feed back encouraged Angel’s learning. From Christine, we see Jesus’ Love.</p>

<p>Our family wants to express our thanks to you for your teaching of our daughter Allison through piano lessons. Through the last three years of the weekly lessons, Allison had accomplished a lot, beyond our expectation. Now, not only that she can play beautiful music with emotion, she had become more patient, more respectful and disciplined. She had developed a more pleasant personality.

<p>What I valued most about Christine was her ability to understand each child as unique in both their personalities and learning styles. To watch her teach both girls in a back to back schedule, I was amazed at her breadth of teaching techniques. If one approach was not working, she quickly approached the lesson in a different way. She used a variety of approaches, visual, written and listening, to teach theory, note reading and the repertoire. Christine made each of my daughters feel comfortable in their playing ability yet very gently encouraged them to challenge themselves further.</p>
<p>I really appreciated the relationship I was able to have with Christine over this past year. I felt a true partner in the triangular student-teacher-parent relationship that is so important in Suzuki instruction. Christine always valued feedback and incorporated my concerns or opinions into her instructional plan. She offered diverse ways for me to work with the girls at home and valued the practice time we dedicated over the year.
Organizational skills are a strength of Christine’s teaching. Each week she was prepared with very detailed notes of what each child had accomplished and what they had been working on at home. Another important part of the music instruction was her encouragement for the girls to enjoy music. She would often ask which piece they enjoyed playing and placed emphasis on asking them to feel the music they were playing. She focused on musicality and encouraged them to connect emotionally to the music.</p>
